Jackie French and David Astle to Speak at the National Editors Conference in May

The organisers of write | edit | index, the 7th IPEd National Editors Conference 2015, are thrilled to announce Jackie French and David Astle as keynote speakers.

Jackie French, Australian Children's Laureate and 2015 Senior Australian of the Year, is an author of 140 books across a range of genres. Her work includes fiction for adults and children, and gardening, history and picture books. She is a passionate advocate for the conservation of wildlife and the planet.

David Astle is well known as the dictionary guy from the television show Letters and Numbers. He is a self-confessed word nerd, writing cryptic crosswords for the The Age and Sydney Morning Herald, and a number of books including Cluetopia and Puzzles and Words.

The conference, in Canberra 6-9 May 2015, launches with a day of professional workshops covering topics including editing, indexing, blogging, design and digital markup. The next two days each have four session streams, ensuring that there is a session for everyone.
