Government Writers and Editors Wanted

One of our members is looking for editors with experience in writing and editing for government. Annual report experience would also be highly regarded.

Keelie Reader currently runs her own business providing communication support for government departments and agencies. She will be taking maternity leave from October and wants to build a support network to help her manage any incoming business.

Please note this is no guarantee of work as Keelie will not be actively marketing her business during maternity leave. That said, all of her work currently comes from word of mouth and she has turned down jobs in the past due to high volumes so she would love to have people she can recommend in these cases. Keelie mostly works on annual reports, websites, tool kits and publications.

Ideally, Keelie is looking for an editor with substantial government experience and excellent writing skills. You must be able to convert complex ideas into simple language and translate governmentese into clear, concise and accessible language.
